The local chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill which is a support and advocacy group fo family members and friends of persons with a mental illness. Monthly meeting are held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Guild Room, at 120 N Hall St. Visalia. Open to the public with the support meeting following at 7 pm.

Offered free in Visalia, Porterville and Lindsay. The support groups are designed to provide an educational and supportive opportunity for adult women to discuss the impact of sexual assault and molestation. The group will identify common reactions and exchange strategies for healing, coping and overcoming damaging behaviors. Open to public-new comers please come early for asessment, located at the Rape Crisis Center, 419 W Murray,Visalia, on the corner of Murray and West St.

A faith-based support group meets at the Visalia Methodist Church, 5200 W. Caldwell. The group meets in Multi-Purpose Room E-7. This prayer support group is open to anyone with a family member in active military service and anyone who would like to support the armed forced through prayer. MOS is Army jargon for a soldier's particular job. This group in intended to support family members in their job - prayer.
